We took our time leaving Vermont, given that a fog had settled in overnight.  By the time we left the hotel, the fog had lifted and we enjoyed a very nice drive through lovely scenery in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.  We arrived at our rental house a little bit before ....

Friday we drove through the Adirondacks, through Lake Placid, then on to Plattsburgh, NY, where we took a ferry across Lake Champlain to Vermont.  The scenery was beautiful and the weather perfect. If anyone finds themselves in need of a hotel near Montpelier, I highly recommend ...

The highlight of Day 2 was seeing three of the Great Lakes.  In fact, we went wading in two of them. There's a good chance we'll manage to get our feet wet in the third tomorrow and we’re planning to see a forth on our way home.  I guess we need to plan a trip to see Lake .....

Tomorrow John and I start out on the first day of our much anticipated vacation. We'll be spending a week with the kids and grandkids in Maine, visiting Acadia and the surrounding area. They are all flying into Boston, but we're driving so that we can visit some areas .....
