Today we took three more states off our "never been" list. When plotting our route home, I noticed that I-84 passes very, very close to the tip of New Jersey. There's a state park in that corner of the state, so we took a short detour off the interstate to drive through the park. We didn't stop and I only took one picture from the car, but that's better than I did yesterday.
Pennsylvania was a long drive, but beautiful scenery. Coming from a plains state, I have been constantly aware of all the trees in this part of the country. Most of the places we've been, the roads have been lined with large trees, an effect I never quite got used to.
We're planning to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park (just south of Cleveland) in the morning, so we're staying at a hotel nearby. There's a Ruby Tuesday close enough to walk to, across a couple of parking lots, but we drove over there to avoid getting soaked if the very light rain turned into something more.
